Do you know how many “moons” there are?  Wolf Moon, Blue Moon, Flower Moon, Thunder Moon, Sturgeon Moon . . . wait . . . what?  
Anyway, among the fifteen or so is a Strawberry Moon.  What is it you ask?  Well, in North America it's the first full moon in June.  In Europe they call it the “Hot Moon” - that would be a different song.
I've always been a fan of Nanci Griffith's “Once In A Very Blue Moon” and moons in general.  So why not write a moon song!  Summer love is a pretty common story (no not the Grease version) , so we used it as the setting for the story.
